Communicators Organize SHARE in Region X

Research Information, Communication, and Utilization Committee (RICUC) members of NorMinCoHRD, information officers, media men, writers and researchers gathered for the organization of the Society of Health Research Communicators (SHARE) in Region X on November 27, 2018 at N Hotel Cagayan de Oro City.

 

SHARE is one of the programs implemented by the Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) and Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) to ensure that research contributes to evidence-informed health policies and actions.

 

Prior to the organization of SHARE, esteemed speakers shared to the participants how their researches were effectively communicated to stakeholders. Dr. Emmanuel Baja, Balik Scientist and Research Associate Professor of the University of the Philippines (UP) – Institute of Clinical Epidemiology, talked about the Opportunities and Challenges in Communicating Health Research while Dr. Iris Thiele Isip Tan, Professor III of the College of Medicine of UP Manila, shared her expertise in Communicating Health Research on Social Media through an audiovisual presentation. Ms. Jessica Marie Suerte of PCHRD discussed about organizing SHARE and guided the participants in identifying & resolving challenges faced by the consortium.
